At 1700hrs (exc. Sat) Via Rail Metropolis trains 66 and 67 leave Montreal and Toronto loaded with business travellers and tourists who arrive in their destination cities in time for supper or a late show. These express passenger trains were the final regular assignments for VIA’s Bombardier built LRC locomotives until the arrival of General Electric’s P42 units. Watch train prep and passenger boarding at Montreal’s Central Station then ride up-front as we rocket across the Ontario countryside on a 3 hour and 59 minute dash for Union Station in Toronto. This disk includes a brief prologue about the technical development and history of the LRC trains.
